To much, To soon?

Hello everyone,
As some of you are aware, for the last 7+ months, we have been trying to cast two roles in the upcoming webseries Dark Frontier: Vanishing Point.
The roles are for two gay characters. Which when written, was designed to be a gay version of the "Kirk and Orion Slave Girl" theme. In our case, the Characters would be Dr. Aron and his lover/slave (The Orion Slave Boy). For over half a year we have been trying to fill these two roles. Without any success. In fact, some places that we have even listed the casting; it has been taken down and referred to softcore gay porn. (Which is NOT what it is, or ever was intended to be!)

Finding two men, who are willing to kiss on screen. (Please let me emphasize that again, they ONLY kiss on screen.) Has never been so difficult. Not to mention, there has been some outcry from people telling me that even the idea is "disgusting and disgraceful". Mind you, I know that this is the 21st century. And gay people are slowly getting their rights in the world. But when even gay people are telling me, that this idea is just to much. I have to start wondering. Is it really to much?

As much as I'd really hate to. I may be forced to rewrite the scenes into "straight" scenes. Just so that I can cast the episodes and get it completed. Even though by doing so, I feel it would be a set back. Not only to the series, but also to gay culture as a whole.

Below I am posting one the scenes. So that you, the audience, can tell me what you think...

ACT 002 SCENE 007 ISS SUDRIAN SICKBAY

In Sickbay, Dr. Aron is fondling an Orion Slave Boy who is laying across his office desk.

“I suppose it's time I checked in on that dreadful woman.” - Dr. Aron

Dr. Aron sighs softly.

“Then again, I'm sure she's fine. Or in a drug induced coma.” - Dr. Aron

Dr. Aron and the Orion Slave Boy, continue to kiss and make out. Just then the doors to Sickbay open and Serena Rivieras walks in.

“It's her isn't it?” - Dr. Aron

The Orion Slave Boy nods his head yes. Dr. Aron sighs and then turns around. He leaves his hand on the boys chest as he speaks to Serena.

“I thought we'd agreed that you'd stay in your quarters while on board... I had to pull lots of strings just to get you here. I even had to make promises. And we all know how much I hate doing that.” - Dr. Aron

“Yes, Doctor. But...” - Commander Serena Rivieras

“But, what? Can't you see I'm busy...” - Dr. Aron

Dr. Aron continues to run his fingers over the boys chest seductively.

Dr. Aron stops playing with his slave and takes a step forward. Just then Dr. Davidious phases through the closed door. He walks up behind Serena and watches.

“Now... Where were we?” - Dr. Aron

Dr. Aron runs his hand down the Orion Slave Boys chest and grabs hold of his crotch. The boy smiles.

ACT 002 SCENE 005 ISS SUDRIAN DR ARON'S QUARTERS

In Dr. Aron's quarters, the Doctor is laying in bed along side the Orion Slave Boy. He slowly gets up and leaves the boy sleeping. He approaches a desk and activates his desktop computer terminal, which raises into position. He sets a small device on the desk and activates it by pressing the top of it. It lights up. The terminals monitor activates and in the darkness, the image of a dark shadowy figure appears.

Laying on the bed, the Orion Slave Boy sleeps with one eye open. Watching the exchange from across the room.

The Dark figure begins to laugh and the screen suddenly goes black. Dr. Aron hears a noise from behind him. He looks back, retrieves the small device and then stands up. He returns to the bed and crawls back in with the Orion Slave Boy. The boy cuddles up to him and Dr. Aron stares off into the darkness with nervous eyes.

Before someone asks, neither of the characters is ever nude. The Orion Slave Boy, is shirtless. But that is as risque as it gets folks. Please let me know what you think and/or help me to decide what I should do here. Many thanks.

We got tons of feedback. Some not so nice LOL But some was very cool and helpful.

i think a bi storyline would be good for a while
then go from there
